Texture week seemed to really get our photography group excited. Textures are always fun because you can actually go out there and find them or you can just overlay on top of your photos for some added fun.  And to really shake things up, some of us did both.  I love it when we shake things up.
Our weekly top ten is always in no particular order. If you enjoy the photograph, the artist's information is below it. Check out their work, send them some love. And tell them why you like it. Photography can easily slip into a confusing adventure of endless lens and setting options, and sometimes when you discover something new, it's magical.

Here we go...
ONE {Love the texture contrast between the soft kitty and your babe. You cat was a perfect model!}

SIX {Great framing. I like that I can see the water and I love that I know that cherry is smooth, but you caught the detail in the skin that makes me question the smoothness. Really great work.}

TEN {I love a good mystery. I checked back every day to see if this anyone could guess what this is. I first thought brownie, then sugar, then cinnamon...but all wrong. Congrats to Treasure's winning guess of Orange glitter. You're so sneaky.  Love the bokeh.  Like this so much that I added a mystery week to this year's list.}

Week 29's theme is "Self Portrait Week" - Oh yes, you knew it was coming, but don't be afraid. Here I am in all my round glory. No remote yet, untethered....working only with my 10 second timer. If I can pull this off, you guys are really going to shine this week! Can't wait to see your shining faces :-) Additionally, this shot was edited only with Lightroom 4.0 using my new super sweet Sal Cincotta Presets. {I love presets!}

What's new with Daphne Ellenburg?

I started my week with a super fun tiny girl photo shoot - two lovely sisters.  When I photograph little girls, I love to get all the shots Mom wants and then end our session with my dress up box. Kids love hats - it's always a hit!

We worked on Mike's Man Cave this weekend. Fresh paint. New Carpet. And awesome new Dental Molding to hide 7 point surround sound speaker wire. Its looking really sweet.

Saw this and considered bedazzling the new Mark III. {I know I could rock that out}

Do you remember Charm Necklaces? I had one when I was a little girl that I would clink and clank about the house in. It's hard to be sneaky while wearing a charm necklace. I found this one for Madison. She's been coloring rainbow dogs all week...so this rainbow dog charm seemed perfect for her. I also found a "Big Sister" charm for her when new nameless baby arrives.

Also, new baby's check up was great. I only gained 3 pounds instead of my usual 5...and I'm back in 2 weeks.

Wishing you a wonderful week filled with family, fun and photography! Make it a wonderful week!

I joined Project 52
We're a group for Photography Enthusiast and Professionals all teaching and learning through each other by photographing to a theme each week. We post our photos to our Flickr group each week by Thursday Midnight and start a new theme each Friday. Each Friday we spotlight 10 photographers and tell why they are featured. Our focus is on education (the how tos) and encouragement (don't be afraid to try something new). I'll bet there is something you'd like to learn. And...I'll bet there is something you can teach us. Check out the group, we're 76 strong this week! It's free to join and the friendships you'll make are priceless. Ellenburg Photography is proud to host this fine group of photographers.
