This year, to get my creative juices flowing, I joined a portrait group. I really thought I was joining a touchy feely social group. In my mind, maybe we would have a Facebook group to discuss life's struggles. You know, how do I run my business and make sure everyone has clean socks. But that isn't what I joined at all. I joined a 365 portrait group. A new theme every day for the entire year with no escape in sight. Because I'm no quitter. I'm all in. I thought for a bigger challenge, I'd document my journey. So here it goes...DAY ONE: Photograph your name.
So, I'm really going to have to put my thinking hat on every day. AND I'm really going to have to bring my BIG GIRL camera home with me everyday. (Some days I do give her the day off. BUT NOT THIS YEAR.) To be honest, I didn't even think about this project that I signed up for in December until the middle of the Georgia Oklahoma game tonight. What have I gotten myself into? I had to scurry and get it done before the Alabama game...so here it goes.
This is ME. I'm Daphne. I love a good mystery, bright colors and a little sparkle. It's a good recipe for life.
Happy New Year and Roll Tide.

How do you dream of having your family photographed?
Every kid that came in for the Santa Experience was a little bit nervous. I told every Mom and Dad, that I asked Santa to bring the Nice list. Every kid knew it would be here. Would their name be on it? Will they have to settle for a lump of coal? Jefferson was no different. Santa told him that him and the elves were kind of on the fence and didn't know if he made the list this year. Santa asked him what did he do this year that made him deserving of being on his most precious nice list. He said that he cleaned his room without being asked, and did his homework and said Yes Ma'am and Yes Sir. Santa seemed satisfied. But told him that he knew that he didn't always put his things where they go and sometimes he had to be asked more than once to do things. He said everything counts. He checked his list twice and Jefferson found his name.
What do you do when you make the nice list? You shoot a couple of thumbs to Dad. This kid is pretty darn fantastic.

December is a magical time of the year. Smiles are bigger. Hugs last longer. And family is closer than ever. So what do you do when you have a house full of cousins? Call Daphne for family portraits. These guys are enjoying some family togetherness at the request of their Nana. Whatever Nana wants, Nana gets. I wrapped these cousins tighter than a newborn baby in glorious Christmas Tree Lights. This was a seriously fun portrait adventure.
Every Family portrait sessions enjoys multiple backdrops, wardrobe changes and both portraits together and separately. We are offering a limited amount of portrait spots for the week of Christmas and the week after Christmas. Don't miss the opportunity to make Christmas this year last forever.
Santa is a very busy guy. Making sure Christmas morning is the most magical day of the year is a lot of work. This year, was no different. Santa was so busy helping make toys that he didn't have time to finish decorating the tree. Luckily we had plenty of boys and girls that were eager to climb high and help do the job with Santa.
It was so much fun watching these guys try to get higher and higher to help Santa with his work. The Santa Experience was so much more than portraits. It's a Magical Adventure to help them to keep the spirit of Christmas in their hearts all year. They will always remember they time they helped Santa decorate a Christmas tree.
Did you know Santa brought his sleigh too? That was super exciting.
