Variety. The spice of life? Or a new source of endless questions for small children. Maybe the answer is a little bit of both - life might be a little dull without those little people and their thirst for knowledge. One of my favorite treats is Animal Crackers.
The most common thing heard during an animal cracker adventure is "Which one is this?" - honestly half the time, I make one up. When I looked into these mysterious tasty creatures, I found out a lot of things I didn't know. Did you know there have been 37 different kinds of Animal Crackers since 1903. The current crackers are tiger, cougar, camel, rhinoceros, kangaroo, hippopotamus, bison, lion, hyena, zebra, elephant, sheep, bear, gorilla, monkey, polar bear, sealgiraffe. There is no way all of these are living inside my bag... I mean seriously, a Sealgiraffe? Huh?
Variety is week 14's theme for Ellenburg Photography Project 52. I enlisted the help of my fantastic Ellenburg Trio. They insisted that we photograph something we can eat after ~ these are SO MY CHILDREN. So...let me introduce this week's hand models...

About the Processing: These shots were edited for the first time ever solely in Lightroom 4.0 in full RAW using the Marcus Bell Action set Porcelain.
If you haven't tried out Marcus Bell yet - do it! His set only works on RAW images keeping more of your data pure & keeping your files larger. That hand shot can be blown up to 30x40 if I wanted. Crazy huh?
Now, Lightroom 4.0 - all I can say is WOW. I was totally underusing 3.0. Do you know why I upgraded from 2 to 3? Easy. My camera was so new that there was not a RAW converter that adapted to my Photoshop CS4 (at the time) and this was a bit of a band-aid fix to keep me using both my new fancy camera & my Photoshop. Lightroom is really speeding up my workflow.
