When I think of colorful food, I almost always think about colored pastas in wacky shapes first and then I think about candy. Mmmmm, Candy! I enjoy food photography. I can photograph it and then I can eat it. Sounds like a win win to me.
This week we had a huge ice storm. I saw 5-7 or more inches of sleet as far as the eye could see. It was pretty exciting. We spent Wednesday goofing around in the ice as a family. I took nearly 300 photos of adventure when I remembered that I hadn't photographed any food. I had the gummy bears delivered from the cabinet to the ice and away we went on our colorful food adventure.
This shot was photographed with the Sigma 24-70 in the middle of the day at 17 degrees. Brrrrrrrr! The shot was a bit flat so I gave it a cool crop and ran it through NIK's Sharpening output. I cranked up the structure to 90% and it really pulled out the detail in the sleet and my bear ears. So, did I eat them? Nope, Princess Fiona ate these :-)
Our top ten is always in no particular order. When you enjoy the photograph, check out the artist. Chances are you will enjoy more of their fantastic work! Artist links are directly below each photograph. Ready. Set. Here we go...
ONE {Love the POV and the set up. Sweet indeed and colorful to match.}

Kelly - Candy is always the best colorful food! Period! Chocolate candy? Even better. The kids sure seemed to have enjoyed the IN's and OUT's of Ice Vacation and ICE Daphne??? Well she makes me smile!
