Nostalgia.

Nostalgia is a sentimentality for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations. It's easy to look around our homes and inside our dusty boxes to find the things that give us a warm and fuzzy feeling. I hold onto a lot of things that mean something to me now that might mean something to my tiny Ellenburgs later. I've got an attic full to prove it. It was nice to see I'm not the only one holding on to a few things.
This week, I had intentions to dig into the baby things I've held on and used between all my boys, but then I met Madison's Grandmother. Janet is collector of children's vintage clothing. She's got some of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. She brought me a young, 2 year old Madison this week complete with two strollers, 2 dolls, and a handful of vintage accessories to match her gorgeous 75 year old dress. I was in heaven with this portrait shoot. I know my client is going to love seeing these shots this week.
Our Nostalgic top ten list is in no particular order. When you love the shot, check out the artist. Our artist links are directly below each portrait. Big thanks to this week's participants. Life is busy and we appreciate you taking time out of week to keep the dust off your camera and try this creative challenge. Ready. Set. Here we go...

What's New with Daphne Ellenburg?
My week started with a perfect check up for newly two year old Baby Jefferson. He is 29 pounds and 36 inches long.
Then it's been followed by one sporting event and baby after another. Not a bad way to spend your week. In fact, it looks about the same line up for this week.
Here's Madison and Grant at Jackson's game.
I sure love watching Jackson play football. He's number 65. I don' t think it's so much the excitement of the game but it's watching how serious he takes this game. And listening to his endless football stories. It's clear that he loves sweating in the hot Alabama sun. My baby is growing up.
Not a bad score for the Gators.
And for fun. Here is a shot of my Mom and her Sister. Everyone came in town to watch Jackson play ball. My Aunt is in visiting this week from Louisiana. She's hitting one more game tonight before traveling home tomorrow.
Here's me and Jackson at Grant's baseball game.
At the end of the week, we went to the college game. Boy was it hot, but Mike loves tailgating so that's where we were.
He really came thru with great seats in the shade this year. That's pretty thoughtful. It's the little things.
This was a great week for spending time together. I reminded me quickly about how we don't do this nearly enough. Wishing you a great week filled with family, fun and photography. Make it a GREAT week!
XOXOXO,
Daphne
