Pretend.
Saturday, December 21, 2013 | By: Daphne Ellenburg
Pretend is the best. Be anything you want to be, anytime you want to be. With children there is always time for pretend, and when you have children you find time to pretend with them. It's great fun to watch them take what they learn and use is to pretend bigger and better than the day before. Pretend is fun for work too. We pretend all day long in the studio. Sometimes I almost forget I'm working and that's the best kind of work in my book.

Week 52's theme is "It's a Wonderful Life"
As another great year comes to a close, its great to pick and choose something that makes your life wonderful.
It's wonderful to photograph so many wonderful families. I get to watch children grow and record the history of so many wonderful people. I get to high five small children every week and then get to hear how I'm their favorite photographer. {it never get's old} That's top notch out of the mouths of my little six and seven year olds. As special as our families feel when they hold that portrait in their hands, I feel even more special for having taken it. It's a wonderful life to have such a kind and loving family and amazing clients who support my love of photography and my new beautiful studio.
What's new with Daphne Ellenburg?
I'm back from vacation. I'm still pretty exhausted and still have ton of Christmas gifts to wrap and find from all the mysterious hidden locations. Am I the only one still wrapping?
I enjoyed watching my husband admire his new art. Anybody else love Fanch as much as Mike?
Jefferson refused to be a pink nightmare.
I got a wonderful package in the mail from a fantastic photographer! Many Thanks Catherine Heeb! You are super thoughtful and made my week brighter.
Grant honored us this week by being selected as a Key Student for the 5th grade. He got an award from the Mayor and we took him to dinner. Grant's grades and behavior get honored every year. He's a real blessing to our family.
It was great to see my 3 month old baby girls. Gracie and Raelyn are part of our baby plan and they are super sweet little ladies!
I've got a super fun Birthday party today. Happy Happy Birthday Shelby!} Our birthday girls get to be the cover our Birthday girl Magazine for the month of their party.
I'm off to set up the lighted runway!
Wishing you and those you love a wonderful and a very Merry Christmas. Take time to slow down this week and enjoy your wonderful life.

Kelly - Daphne, I want to cry! How beautiful are all these Christmas photos? I love the reds and greens. I think we should pretend it's Christmas all year, but then I guess it would lose some of it's magic. Jefferson is so cute as the pink nightmare! He protest too much. I can NOT wait to see the photos from It's a Wonderful Life. As my theme in life I could have submit a 100 photos for this week, but am greatly anticipating the professional ones. Merry, Merry!
