Slowing Down
Tuesday, March 27, 2012 | By: Daphne Ellenburg
Just before dark, in the first week of Spring, I took a walk. Hand in hand with my amazing Husband and our only baby girl {so far}.
My husband pointed out that since I've gotten pregnant, I've been held hostage in my home by choice. It's true. I'm always home...in the studio, cooking in the kitchen, taking a heavenly nap. Mostly I'm just watching my babies grow...and remaining in denial that pants won't button anymore in week 17. {Seriously - I hate shopping for Maternity Pants}
Family walks are good. Madison {also known as the Long-Jumper} prides herself at reaching new levels of jump lengths as she holds Daddy's hand. She will easily leap flower patches, ant piles, tree branches....you name it.
This life is busy and moving so fast. It's nice to slow down, forget about your pants not buttoning, and hold the hands with my happily ever after and mini-me. When you have all that, it's easy to find beauty where ever you go. Even on a walk down a country road in Creola, Alabama.
This week's Project 52 theme is "Just before Dark"
Make your week fantastic!
XoXoXo,
Daphne
