The Greys
Saturday, February 09, 2013 | By: Daphne Ellenburg
Whether you found your grey or made it, Grey week was a Big Hit. Greys give you a chance to add depth without color, or add drama with amazing tones and textures. I love greys and blacks and whites ~ looks like I'm not alone. This week we saw Grey clouds, Grey flowers, Grey people and Grey Animals. Grey is not just color it's a mood or a phase. I really am loving processing my shots in black and whites. I often think I'm going through my "grey period" - it's sounds so Picasso. {And that sounds Awesome!}
Your grey shots were fantastic. As usual, it was tough to narrow down to ten. Our top ten is in no particular order. If you enjoy the shot, the artist links are directly below it. Check out their. Send them some love. The love of photography is an endless game of settings and trials and errors. Everyone can use an encouraging pat on the back, so go ahead and pat away! Here we go...

Week 7's theme is: LOVE
That's right just in time for Valentine's day. Shoot who and what you love. There are a lot of things I love: Lipgloss, Fabulous shoes on sale, Sweet Eyes with long lashes, Baby Noises, Big Giant handbags...and one of my favorite Loves is Sibling Love. You know...that super sweet you're my best friend kind of love. Meet two and a half year old twins, Emmalynn and Katelyn. I had the delight of photographing them on Saturday. They are the daughters of the fantastic wedding photographer, Heather Horne.
Looks like my "grey" period continues a bit longer. However; I did like this one too for this week.
What's new with Daphne Ellenburg?
It's been a full week of snapping, editing and painting. What am I painting? Well, it's only walls ~ nothing too glamorous. Mr. Ellenburg is keeping my busy. It's always scary when he starts DVR'ing programing on HGTV. Sigh. At least these new walls are near a Starbucks.
My valentine, baby Jefferson, celebrated his 5 month birthday!
Those big eyes finally found his feet! I was so excited that he wanted to play with them while he was rocking out his new onsie. Isn't it awesome?
This week I found out that Jefferson enjoys listening to Sue Bryce as much as I do. Sue, you made an excellent babysitter while I cooked dinner this week.
The Ellenburgs are gearing up for a festive Mardi Gras break. Carnival Fun and lots of gooey sugar dripping king cake! What's not to love about a holiday called FAT Tuesday? I wish every Tuesday could be FAT.
Wishing you a fantastic week filled with Family, Fun and Photography! Make it a great week!
