Week 6, Our Favorites!
Friday, February 10, 2012 | By: Daphne Ellenburg
Week Six's Affection theme seemed perfect for my Affectionate "Runaway" Vacation with my Husband, Michael. I'm writing to you this morning from the Lido Deck aboard the Carnival ship Conquest. We are journeying through the last two beautiful days at sea. It has been quite magical. Quiet evenings together, tropical island adventures and pure relaxation. There is really something magical about being surrounded by water, unable to see land - it never gets old and always feels like an adventure. On a personal note, the other great thing is that Park West art guys are featuring new Peter Max work - and I so lOOOVE some Peter Max. It will be perfect with my boldly colored new living room. I want 3, but will narrow down one…I think, and Mike Hopes :-)
You guys did a great job with your affection photographs…So much great variety…food, animals, siblings - I loved them. Great work guys! Now, on to our top ten. As always, our top ten is in no particular order. If you like the artist, link or links to their work are directly below. Visit their sites, leave them some love. Every photographer could use some encouragement, and your words could make all the difference to an artist that struggled with their shot this week. So, go on and leave some love. Here we go…

Our theme for week Seven will be "A Hint of Red" I did my best to photograph some red on each island this week. I'll narrow down to one to post on Flickr, but thought you'd enjoy seeing them.
Keywest, Florida - here are flowers found outside Hemingway's house - If you enjoy Hemingway, yes, there were plenty of six-toed cats hanging around his house while I was there :-)
Port Lucaye, Bahamas - I have a serious Sailboat addiction. I rode one once and was completely hooked…I shoot them every time I see them.
Nassau, Bahamas - Here are my sandy toes as I relaxed for hours under a palm tree sitting next to my handsome husband at the Atlantis resort - if you watch the Today show, yes, Kathy Lee was there and No, I chose not to stalk her :-) But plenty people were...wacky.
As for what's new with me, the new baby is behaving quiet nicely this trip. The first two days were glorious, but I don't think the baby enjoyed Port Lucaye or I didn't drink enough water. We did oodles of fitness activities this trip - I took my first spin class and tried burn off most of these 3 & 4 course meals. Mike has befriended a Scottish Personal trainer, ironically named Scotty. He's teaching us a lot of cool stuff. If you follow our blog, I'll be posting some great stuff, one island at time. And on Wednesday, I return to the Doctor for a Mommy & Me check up and Mike is tagging along so we can hear our new baby's heart beat together. We even tossed around a few names this trip - baby Taylor is sounding real nice.
Wishing you a wonderful week filled with love, family and photography. Have a very happy Valentine's day! Best of luck with your week seven red adventures!
XoXoXo, Daphne
So, What is EP Project-52?
We're a group for Photography Enthusiast and Professionals all teaching and learning through each other by photographing to a theme each week. We post our photos to our Flickr group each week by Thursday Midnight and start a new theme each Friday. Each Friday we spotlight 10 photographers and tell why they are featured. Our focus is on education (the how tos) and encouragement (don't be afraid to try something new). I'll bet there is something you'd like to learn. And...I'll bet there is something you can teach us. Check out the group, we're 60 strong this week! It's free to join and the friendships you'll make are priceless. Join us today!
