5/52 Baby Wants 12 Lemons
Monday, January 30, 2012 | By: Daphne Ellenburg
Week 5 is all about color, complimentary Color. Once you understand complimentary colors, it's easier to set up some really attractive shots or get an idea of some great props to bring to a shoot.
I wanted to photograph these lemons...so I consulted my handy dandy color wheel {Which I bought at Hobby Lobby with a coupon for only $4.00} ...
The most complimentary colors are the ones directly across from the color you are paring. For my Lemons, the color is the from the Violet family...and if you follow my work - I'm in love with this purple chair & frequently tote it all over town.
The lemons look great in my field of dreams and they look great up close.
These shots were processed with Nik Software's Define 2.0 {worth the price of the entire collection} and Viveza 2.0 - I used Viveza to pop only the Purple and Yellows in this shot. Its a great program for selective color adjustments - it won't effect the entire shot.
It's always great to experiment with a little black and white...
And with different times of day...the first shots were just before the sun peeked out above the tree line, this shot is lit by the sunrise. Both are great. I really love shooting out in this field!
Wishing all the Project 52 participants a wonderful week filled with fun, family & photography - we're cooking up a great theme for this coming week. You're going to LOVE it.
