Blessings.

Blessings. Let's be honest, they are everywhere when you look for them. And it was a bit hard to figure out which blessing to photograph. This was a great week to peek into each other's lives and see some of our blessings. We saw blessings of health, life and some of our favorite things. No matter which blessing you chose, I know it was a challenge to narrow down and to convey your blessed message through to your photograph. This was a real challenging week. You did a GREAT job and I enjoyed your photograph.
Our top ten is always in no particular order. If you enjoy the photography, chances are you will also enjoy the photographer. Their links are below the photo - check them out and send them some LOVE! Big Congrats to this week's top ten. Here we go...

15/52 Zebra Lines By Ellenburg Photography
My zebra was made with layers in CS6. I photographed him on lush green grass that I turned Yellow in photoshop, then black and white so it almost disappeared. Then I sampled the white and painted the rest of the grass white. Then I layered my in color zebra back on top, made a layer mask, inverted it {Command I} and only painted back my zebra with a soft brush. Yep, I was at the Zoo this week.
What's new with Daphne Ellenburg?
Well, as predicted, I'm pretty beat. Finished one dance studio only to have another and Easter, followed by a Wedding today. It's nice be busy...but it's also nice to be super awesome Mom. So, to combat super busy with wanting to be super awesome, I've been creating my own Photoshop Actions that run the software touch ups that I do to all my photos and then I batch automate them. I can batch hundreds at a time now and go on with my rocking day. If you haven't looked into batch automation - do it, it will add 10 years to back to your life. Like one of those stop smoking ads. {I made that 10 year number up, there are no tests (I bet it's 10 years) but If I can get a government Grant to fund my tests I'll give it a shot.}
This week, I photographed beautiful dancers both smiling...
and having Fun.
Easter came and went as fast as EVER. All my Easter photos remain unedited are hiding in Lightroom. Maybe next week... But I did get this one at the Windy Egg Hunt.
I took time off from my editing to attend a 13 hour field trip to our state capital learn about government with my 9 year old, Grant. We also worked in the Zoo too, where I planned to photograph the white tiger for my lines project this week. But...I photographed him like a super model. You know Wide open at 2.8. Not so great for big cats.
Baby Jefferson got his first super hero pajamas. Batman and Superman. It was more fun for us.
He also helped me do a little editing in Lightroom. Not my best idea as he reprogrammed my menu options. That little rascal.
Saw this product and was freaked out. Jackson was with me and said, "Great. Now when someone offers me a glass of water, I'm going to wonder if its really sleepy water." He is so my child.
I finished my week by working for my husband. I tiled one of his rental houses. Then he bought me this to help me forget that I spent Friday tiling his rental house. This clip is pretty cool.
This week is filled with dancers, a bride and groom, painting and yes, Taxes. {Taxes, Barf!}
Wishing you a wonderful week filled with family, friends and photography!
