Delicate Inspiration
Thursday, January 31, 2013 | By: Daphne Ellenburg
Delicate. When I was thinking about the way I could photograph this week's Project 52 theme, I was surrounded by lace. Three different kinds in fact, dreamy soft pink, Plain Jane white and super stretchy ivory with extra ruffles.
Week 5's theme is Delicate. But the more I thought about the word Delicate...the more I let it roll around in my head, I was missing the BIG picture. Delicate is not just the lace. It's who I'm putting in the lace.
Life is delicate. Time is delicate. This special time I have with my only baby girl is special. I wish I could bottle four years old forever, and share it. Or even better, save it. She will only be little for a little while. She won't race to front door when I open it for the FIRST hugs forever. {This happens every day} But I hope it's forever.
Embrace time today. Let your hugs linger longer. Smile a little bigger. Today is yours. All of it. Make it Great!

Daphne Ellenburg - Thanks Irela. I loved 4 so much - she told me, "Mom, I'm 5 now." Darn. Already? "Yep" I hate when they try to grow up.

Irela - Beautifully said.....I read it with a knot in my throat as my only baby girl turns 34 this year and how I wish she was four again. Do treasure those hugs every day.... Thanks for sharing.
