The Bare Minimum.

Bare Minimum was interpreted in a lot of ways for week 4's Project 52. For some, the bare minimum meant skinnying things up like saving more pennies,  or swapping out calories. We saw bare feet, bare shoulders and bare baby bottoms. All in all, a broad theme with a great collection of ideas by an awesome group of photographers and friends. I love that you guys strive to take time out of your busy week to keep us in your lives. Here comes the top ten...

Our top ten is in no particular order - EVER - when the you enjoy the photo, the artists information and links are directly below the shot. Visit their page. Check out the their work. We could all use a few more fans!

ONE {I love the crispy details and copper pop of color. Abe has never looked better!}

HONORABLE MENTION {This shot spoke to me! It said, go out and run Daphne with your new fancy shoes. I've been searching for my workout motivation. Yes, the motivation to walk down one flight of stairs and use all the crap already set up in my house. Sigh. My search continues but you, my friend, are rocking a great looking pair of sneakers! Great idea for Bare Minimum - keeping alive my personal motto: "You can do anything in the right pair of shoes."}

Week 5's Theme is - "Delicate"

I am surrounded by lace this week in search of creating the perfect petticoat romper. Yep, You know those cute adorable photo props for babies and tiny girls. If you haven't seen them, Click here for a great variety on Etsy.  Anyway, my mom is helping me make one or two...so stay tuned for that adventure, but here's my lace shot for Delicate.

I shot it in studio using 3 soft boxes and 2 sheets of 12x12 scrap book paper over foam board. I liked the brightness, but lost some of the detail, so It was ran through Nik's Define 2.0 and then Nik's Color Efex 4.0 for Detail Distraction. That last one is magical - I use it all the time.

What's New with Daphne Ellenburg?

Well, it feels like I'm burning life at both ends and have never been happier. I spend one solid day a week working for my husband. I've been painting his rental houses. If feels like as soon as I've got one ready, he starts me on the next one. Sigh, the painful woes of the dreams of an early retirement.  My paint matching could use some work. Looks like I'll be painting this room AGAIN today.

Saw this in the parking lot of Target, and knew I could instantly befriend this family.

My oldest Jackson, made a fine baby sitter while I did a little editing this week. He's quite the multi-tasker.

Untitled

Discovered that my iPhone's last update can panorama - whoa. So here's the first one of my cluttered studio space. I can almost get it all in the shot, you miss about 10 feet. Yep...that was yesterday.

So this weekend, I'll be painting, Sewing and Shooting. I've got a "glam session" tomorrow. I wish I spent more time at Ulta buying paint for my nails than Home Depot buying paint for houses I don't live in. {Ok, I'm done complaining}

Wishing you a wonderful week filled with family, friends and photography! Make it a GREAT week!
