Flower Power.

Flower week always gets me excited about the blooming beauty that is bursting in everyone's town, but it also makes my nose run. I love all the bold colors and interesting views, but Pollen is killing me this week. Soon the pine trees will start dusting my home like a silent killer and I'll need one of those bubble suits to get in and out of the house. Okay, maybe that was a little dramatic. {But only a little.}

I loved so much about this week's super fun flower shots. They were on trees, in vases, drawn on concrete with chalk - you guys knocked it out of the park this week! And the macros were fabulous. You guys had me considering the 100mm again.

And on a note of housekeeping, thanks to those of you Flickr wizards who figured out how to open your newly locked sharing restrictions. Please comment in the discussion panel on how you did it for the rest of us :-)

Buckle up. Top Ten, here we go...

Worth Mentioning {This tiny shot is the product of my oldest son who was sitting next to me this week and said, did you see my photo? I joined your group. Who knew? At least he's using this iPhone for more than video games. Welcome Jackson. You have so much creative talent. I can't wait to see the things that you create with the help of this great group.}

Sneak Peek - week 19 is going to be "Hand-Made"

What's New with Daphne Ellenburg?

The new year doesn't really seem real to me until my taxes are put to bed - then I start really digging into my 2014. Now that I'm completely focused on this year, my eyes are finally open to how exciting this new studio really is. To keep it in perspective, I've done better financially this month than I did the first half of last year. How insane is that? So now I keep looking for new ways to grow and evolve into whoever I'm supposed to be.  And that is really exciting! And since I have to think about marketing more - I've been thinking about buying this guy. But then it seems crazy. But then it seems awesome. And then crazy again.

This week, I watched my sweet baby Jefferson hunt eggs on two feet for the first time. Every first is special. This is Jeff in our front yard with Mike's Dad. Jeff found 25 eggs this year.

Grant had the biggest hit he's ever had Thursday night. It was 5 ft from the fence and he still hasn't stopped smiling. We enjoyed it too!

I enrolled 3 new babies into our milestone plan. This is baby Max. We also got baby Mallory and baby Kollyn. Holding babies is one of my favorite parts of every week.

And there are still plenty of sparkling dancers coming by. We are running dance specials through May 31st.

I always like to ask clients how they'd like to be photographed next. This week, Tara said, "With a Teepee" - one question led to another then to an Etsy shopping adventure. Look what's coming in two weeks from sunny California. I also ordered one significantly less girly for the guys.

Wishing you a wonderful week filled with family, fun and photography! Make it a GREAT week!

XoXoXo,

Daphne
