Lines of Fun.
Saturday, April 13, 2013 | By: Daphne Ellenburg
Lines are great for photography. They can lead the eye of the viewer to whatever the photographer wants. They add depth and structure to your photograph. And heck, they are plain darn fun as prooved this week by our amazing photographers. Big Congrats to everyone who got out there and photographed their lines this week!
Our top ten is always in no particular order. If you enjoy the photograph, check out the artist. Artist links are directly below the photograph. Send them some love. Give them a pat on the back. Here we go...

Week 16's theme is: SWEET
This week I photographed the birthday cake of my oldest boy, Jackson. Oreo Ice Cream goodness, for a birthday that is both exciting and bittersweet. I'm confident that I woke up with a new unappreciated grey hair this week. Here he is wishing for his mustashe.
Shot in my kitchen using a super high ISO of 4000 - don't be afraid to go over 1000. Edited in the Nik Suite - I used Viveza to brighten my white candle shadows, Define to bump back and ISO grain and Color efex for a contrast bump. I love the NIK software plugins for Photoshop.

What's new with Daphne Ellenburg?
My week started with a Bride and a couple of Princesses. I absolutely LOVE this shot.
Then I edited more dancers, brides and princesses...then It was time to celebrate the birth of my first born. Here's my crew:
Thirteen. Already. It's so hard to get my arms around. In only five short years, he'll start college and try to move away. {sigh...}
So what does a Thirteen year old ask for on his birthday? Mine wanted a couple of video games, and RED life proof case for his phone. {He had me a phone saftey. I couldn't say no.}
I also found him a singing mustache card. And a super lame unicorn card.
In other events, the Tigers swept the Reds.
Jefferson got a new hat.
I got some new sunglasses.
And I was reminded why I don't usually take Madison and Grant to the Mall at the same time.
Now I'm off to work on my taxes. Wishing you a great week filled with family, fun and photography! Make it a GREAT week!
