Today is a happy day. Today I celebrate the tenth birthday of my middle boy, Grant. Grant is smart, caring and loving. He spends most of this time reading books like the "39 clues" series and playing outside in the Alabama sunshine with his siblings. He is helpful and always volunteers to do more than asked. His grades are excellent, consistently high A's and no B's. Grant is my money "saver". He hoards his allowance and tucks it away for the rainy day that hasn't come. That makes me so proud. His glass is always half full and I hope it always will be. 

Grant's birthday request was a small family party in the kitchen. {Same as always.} I only give my children gifts on Birthdays and Christmas. The rest of the year that have to save and shop with their allowance. I love birthdays. Birthdays are special and love to make a BIG deal about them.

We always celebrate on Birthday Eve.  This is a slice of life. Enjoy a few shots from a fun birthday bash with my new big boy.

What does a ten year old boy wish for?  

That is still a mystery. But it can't be much.
