Week 11, Our Green Favorites

Week Eleven's theme of Green had a lot of great ideas. If you live in Southern Alabama, Green is easy because this week we had several days where the temperature crept into the 80's. We have plenty of green to find, but it's booby-trapped with a gynormous amount of mosquitos. Yuck - seriously my legs look like I have the Measles, totally embarrassing completely blamed on Little League. You guys had plenty of great ideas. Many of you had fun with the St. Patrick's day Greens. We saw cold cash, oodles of plants and even a green thumb. That thumb is seriously awesome - it's like Wizard of Oz, wicked green! So crafty. When I was a young girl, the cool thing to do this week was to find a four leaf clover and thus then making your life completely filled with good luck forever - I never found one. But I always remember that when we were out there looking in our green green patches of endless clover that grow wild out here, there was always one kid that would split a leaf and claim victory. I hated that kid. But while we looked, my Mom would braid me a crown of clover flowers. That was always a fun time. I saw this cartoon yesterday & giggled:
Four Leaf clover
This week's top ten are in no particular order. Their contact information is listed below the photograph, so if you like them, tell them why. Photography challenges are just that - a challenge. Some struggle more with the theme than others...so go ahead and give out some pats on the back. {It makes you feel warm and fuzzy}
Ready. Set. Here we go...

Do you want to be our photographer of the week? It's easy, just email us at daphne@ellenburgphotography.com. Tell us a little about your work and send us links to your websites - also in the discussion block on EP Project-52 express your interest. We'd love to feature your work.

Week 12's theme was inspired by Alfred Stieglitz - I always called him "the hand guy" - he took gorgeous photos of his wife's hands and for whatever reason, whenever I see hand photography I think of him. (These hands are little Madison's)

Our theme for week 12 is: "Get a Grip" and here's my shot of the week:

So, What's new With Daphne?
This week my flower photo placed 2nd in "World of Flowers" for the Annual Festival of Flowers Photography contest - I was pretty darn excited. The Festival of Flowers is at the end of the month, and I love to visit the photography section and see a long curly ribbon on my work. {beaming}
10/52 Dots & Damask

The other great thing around here is that Little League Baseball has started. We have ourselves an "Astro" this year. My Grant got the first game ball after win over the Cubs. When he hit two triples, I instantly became the loudest cheerleader there.

In other excitement, I have a doctor's appointment to check on how my little peach is growing. I know I'm growing, so hopefully baby is doing just fine....so maybe I'll have a new photo to share with you next week.

Until then...Happy Saint Patrick's Day followed by Happy Spring!
Wishing you a wonderful week of Family, Fun and Photography!
XoXoXo,
Daphne

I joined Project 52
We're a group for Photography Enthusiast and Professionals all teaching and learning through each other by photographing to a theme each week. We post our photos to our Flickr group each week by Thursday Midnight and start a new theme each Friday. Each Friday we spotlight 10 photographers and tell why they are featured. Our focus is on education (the how tos) and encouragement (don't be afraid to try something new). I'll bet there is something you'd like to learn. And...I'll bet there is something you can teach us. Check out the group, we're 66 strong this week! It's free to join and the friendships you'll make are priceless. Join us today!
