Week 16, our Good for You Favorites!

When I think of week 16's theme "It's good for you" - I always hear it coming out of my Mother's mouth.  I think I heard "Eat it. It's good for you"  every day of most of my life - except for when I went away to college and could do as I pleased. The nice thing about the veggies my Mom was trying to trick me and my brother into consuming was that they were laced with gooey dripping cheddar cheese. Mmmmm. I love cheese. I'm pretty sure I'd still at least try most thing covered in cheddar. You guys did a great job finding some really fun things that are good for us....and also proved that there are lots more out there than just Veggies needed. We saw "Good For Us" things like Milk, Fresh Air, Long walks and one that made me chuckle, a good cry.  It was fun to see the theme unfold each day in some new and interesting way.

Now on to our top ten...As always the artist's links are below each photograph. If you enjoy the shot, check out their work and send them some love. Photography is constant battle of endless settings and lens choices - your little pat on the back can go along way. So go ahead, pat away!

Here. We. Go...

Week 17's Theme is "BIG" - for our theme this week  I elected to photography a very giant, but still a baby, Lady Liberty. This Monument is in Birmingham, Alabama and is dedicated to the State headquarters of the Boy Scouts. It is also only 1/8th the size of the real Lady Liberty.

What's new with Daphne?

I spent a wonderful family weekend in Birmingham and Tuskaloosa for the Alabama A-day game. It was a pleasant reminder of why football should be in the fall - it was HOT.

I found some great soda for my Tuesday Taco night. {Not to mention a new low 70 calorie wrap}

My oldest Son has become obsessed with Chuck Norris t-shirts. {Chuck Norris Jokes really crack me up}

Our Spring Break week has been quite wet. So not as much as excitement as we'd like for a holiday week. As for me...I'm still working feverishly on my Bridal show. I've got an engagement shoot this afternoon. And new name-less baby has a check up today. But as exciting as the later is, I've got an appointment to play with the new Canon 5DIII today. {The husband's nervous} I'm just keeping things exciting around here.

Wishing you a wonderful week of Fun, Family and Photography! Good Luck finding the next "Big" thing!

XoXoXo,

Daphne

So, What is EP Project-52?
I joined Project 52
We're a group for Photography Enthusiast and Professionals all teaching and learning through each other by photographing to a theme each week. We post our photos to our Flickr group each week by Thursday Midnight and start a new theme each Friday. Each Friday we spotlight 10 photographers and tell why they are featured. Our focus is on education (the how tos) and encouragement (don't be afraid to try something new). I'll bet there is something you'd like to learn. And...I'll bet there is something you can teach us. Check out the group, we're 70 strong this week! It's free to join and the friendships you'll make are priceless. Join us today!

Daphne Ellenburg - Hi Ladies - right now I'm almost $8K into Olympus - I'd been thinking hard about going full frame. I feel like I'm missing out...but I may indeed be suffering from "the Grass is Greener" Syndrome .... I think I'm in love with the idea of 1.2 aperture, or I'm torn b/c Olympus can't offer it to me and I want it. Either way...I'm still going to check them out and I"m going to hold it and think hard about it.
