I close my eyes while the fizzy bubbles tickle nose. My hips start to sway to the smooth latin beats. The sweet aroma of roasted tomatoes, garlic and warm beef unmistakably fill the air. When I open my eyes, I'm not in Cozumel {and I love Cozumel}- I'm in my kitchen.
We really take our Tuesday Taco nights to a new level each week - this week was no exception. As I try to top it each week with something new and exciting ... like a new salsa receipt or a new rediculously low calorie soft wrap {seriously 70 calories a wrap was an all time find} - this week I found Mexican Orange Soda. One word. Awesomeness.
Sitting around the table, watching happy mouths chomping and already looking forward to next week....I noticed that the chilled orange soda isn't the only new thing here tonight...Chuck Norris is here too.
I'm not sure what's going on with Middle Schoolers and their unsurpassed love for Chuck Norris, but Jackson got a couple Chuck Tees for his birthday - and it seems like he always has one on. At least they are funny and clean. Well...Long live Taco Night, and Chuck Norris.
