From the Kitchen is a fun week. The anticipation alone for the great photography ideas that you are creating in your kitchen is worth the wait. Will it be food photography? Will it be your favorite gadget? Will your photograph make me hungry? These are just some of the things I'm thinking about when I log into Flickr to see what's new and exciting with our photography group....Well, yes...it did make me hungry and I did laugh a lot too. When I viewed some of your photography, it was like I was checking out the new William Sonoma Catalog :-) and I loved it.

Entertaining shot of the week...{This shot made me laugh out loud. It's so close to my life some days. This pregnancy makes me feel old. When I go to bed at 8:45pm, my boys say, "Goodnight Grandma." Not cool.}

This shot is from my big weekend wedding. One of my favorite times when I photograph a wedding is running around with the rings and shooting them in various places around the reception. What I remember most about this shot, is that I was being followed around the hall by the "grandma paparazzi" - after almost every shot, I'd hear, "Honey, can I get one of those too?" You bet. They were so cute with their tiny point and shoots trailing behind me like I was Angelina Jolie. This shot was edited in Lightroom 4.0, Photoshop CS6, Nik define 2.0 and Nik Viveza 2.0 to pop the pinks and yellows.

What's new with Daphne?

 I was honestly consumed by the weekend wedding all week. If I wasn't planning, I was doing. We had the honor of photographing the rehearsal dinner.

And then we photographed the BIG Wedding day.

It was a great day in the warm 97 degree Alabama sun. And I'll tell you, it's a lot harder to be an amazing photographer in my little black dress and fantastic shiny black heals while largely pregnant. But...I rocked it out and have some amazing photographs of the first day of my Bride and Groom's Happily Ever After. Click here to see a Sneak Peek from the wedding.

When I wasn't Photographing and Editing the weekend Wedding...I was celebrating the birth of my Middle babe, Grant.

And what does a new 9 year old want for his birthday? Would you believe a Sonicare Electric Toothbrush? Yep. I got him one and all of the Avenger toys {I can't maintain my Super Mom title if I only spring electric toothbrushes for little boy birthdays}, and I finally got invited to see the movie with all those Ellenburg boys. All in all it was a GREAT day!
