Week 25, Our Random Favorites
Friday, June 22, 2012 | By: Daphne Ellenburg
Week 25's Random Favorites was a great week to ponder your favorite things or put together a great collage of your week. This proved to be a great get-to-know you week. No matter how you put together your random favorites, one thing stood out the most, we have a lot more in common than just our love for photography. I think that was my favorite thing about going through the photos this week, one after another, it was great to peek into your lives and get to know you a little more this week.
Now, on to our top ten...as always, our top ten is in no particular order. If you enjoy the photograph, the artist's information is listed below. Check out their work, visit their websites or facebooks. Spread the love. If you're the artist and you'd like me to list more ways to find you, just send me an email...I'm happy to do it.
Here we go...
ONE {I love the bright colors, the endless variety and pleasure of raising a glittery girly-girl. Great choice for this week!}

Week 26 marks the official half-way point of 2012. What could be a better theme for this week than "Look UP" - we're only 1/2 way there! I don't know about you, but this year is really flying by ... so I combined Flying by with Look up at the Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon festival.

What's new with Daphne?
This week, I kicked off the week with a 5 pound weight gain and the healthy check up of my bouncing baby boy. I'm pretty sure he will want to be a kick boxer or a ninja. Either way, we are still on track for an end of the summer delivery.
I spent a couple of days at the Hot Air Balloon fest with the Ellenburg Babes. They loved watching them fill up despite not getting to see too many fly with the windy weekend weather.
I then traveled to Tallahassee Florida for a couple of days of meetings at Florida State University. I enjoyed the Moss Covered Trees that reminded me of Louisiana...
It was Orientation week at FSU, it was fun to be surrounded by the excitement of both the College World Series and incoming college freshman. I was very impressed with this set up on campus, very inspiring. I love the idea of life unconquered.
In other news, I ripped the name tag off my chicken and bought that new Canon 5D mark III with the 50mm 1.4 lens.
So am I intimidated? You bet I am. As a photographer, I've been Olympus my whole life. I love them because they are always on the cutting edge of technology. Many things you enjoy on your camera, they did it first....but they are not focused on ME anymore, they are all about the tiny yet awesome Pen line....so here I am, wanting to grow into the full frame excitement....so since I wanted full frame, I wanted the BIGGEST full frame camera on the market...and that's the Mark III. It's very impressive. I'm navigating through the nearly endless menus and think I might take it out to shoot this weekend....
All of my Olympus gear is up for grabs, if you know any Olympus lovers...just email me at daphne@ellenburgphotography.com.
Wishing you a wonderful week of Family, Fun and Photography!

Daphne Ellenburg - Thanks so much Irela! I've only used it one day as I watch Creative Live tutorial after tutorial - but the thing that impresses me the most is the white balance. It is dead on right out the auto sensor....that Is really going to make a huge difference. And I love everything that I'm learning!
