Photographers are the most self critical people that I know. Many of us frame up life with and without our camera, examining every detail...seeing things that other people don't really notice. We observe things like, how there were more clouds today than yesterday or how that wall is the most perfect natural reflector, and you bet we will pull our car over to photograph that rainbow that will be around for the next five minutes. The eye of the photographer is a blessing to have. Now when we ask that same photographer to step in front of the camera to be photographed, all bets are off. Many of us go right for ever critical detail and it becomes not as fun as taking your photograph. Our challenge this week is the self portrait. It was a huge challenge. But our group is not full of chickens. We know all the tricks of beautiful portraiture to make our clients look amazing - and you bet bet we threw some of that ourselves. I mean do you think I didn't throw some Clamshell lighting at mine? That's right.
Big congrats to every super brave photographer that participated in our challenge this week. This week's top ten is in no particular order. The artist's name is directly under the photograph. If you like it, click over and send them some love, especially this week. We have such an attractive group...you're going to want to see who survived week 29!
Here we go...
ONE {Beautiful bokeh circles - great black and white processing. You are so lovely!}

What's new with Daphne Ellenburg this week?
This week, we've been working hard on Mike's Man Cave. We took it from this empty room last week...
to this... {The batman is a nice touch right?}
It still has a few things to go...but it's a solid 95% complete. This week he elevated the back row - so it really feels like I'm at the movies. And all movies are alphabetized through the letter L - I'm getting closer.
I mastered the art of glittered yarn meatballs.
And we finally named that big baby I'm growing.
Things are moving right along in the right direction here and we couldn't be happier. Jefferson is due to meet us ironically, Labor day week.
Wishing you a wonderful week filled with Family, Fun and Photography! Make it a great week!
