Week One is a Celebration.

Week One's "Celebration" theme is perfect because not only are we celebrating a new and exciting year empty waiting to be filled, but we are also celebrating a new challenge. The challenge of photographing something, anything to a weekly theme. The challenge of not being complaisant or letting dust settle on our camera. The challenge of learning something new and the joy of sharing this year with new friends across the globe.
I celebrated my new year's eve the same way I have since our family started, surrounded by our babes and a little bubbly. This year, we enjoyed a rousing game of Jenga - which coincidentally does not go with bubbly at all. I "Jenga'd" out quite a few times waiting for the ball to drop. I had a lot of fun! And It was great to see all the wonderful ways you chose to celebrate this week!
Each week we will celebrate a top ten. Our top ten is always in no particular order. If you enjoy the artist, the links to their work is directly below. If you have websites or blogs, list them in your photo description and I'll link them in this weekly blog. Ready. Set. Here we go!
ONE {I love the processing and the giddy smiles. Everyone looks fantastic covered in snowflakes!}

Happy New Year! By Shantel Rich
Week 2's theme is "Resolve" - I think Resolve sounds better than resolution. I make several resolutions but only resolve to complete a few of them. This year, I resolve to embrace a more spiritual focus on my life. You know, counting my blessings more, being present in my own life instead of constantly thinking of the next think I have to do. This statue is in my studio, next to my desk. I'm hoping it will be a constant reminder of this resolve for 2013.

And I found this too {I like it}:
O Dear sweet Infant Jesus, I offer You my will, that You strengthen it, my mind that You inspire it; my memory that You fill it; my wishes and desires, that You cleanse them, I sacrifice to You; my intentions that You guide them, all my inner and outer activities, that You make them sacred. All I am and all I have is Yours. Your love for me is my hope and trust. Hear me and grant that I may never leave you.
Amen
Can't wait to see the things you Resolve!

Angelia Sims - Daphne, Your New Year's Eve sounds like ours. We played Monopoly and had sparkling cider and champagne. We celebrated my husband's birthday as well. He is a New Year's Eve baby. Love the fireworks photo and your baby boy is just precious. :-) Four months is one of my favorites, because they laugh non-stop.
And thank-you for selecting my photo! :-)
