Resolve for Week 2.
Saturday, January 12, 2013 | By: Daphne Ellenburg
Resolutions. {Barf.} They are the same old hum drum lists every year. Lists with a dark gloomy cloud hanging over them. Resolutions are like a wish list sprinkled in glitter, but Resolve, now that's serious. It even sounds serious. Say it. Resolve. {See what I mean?} When you resolve, you mean business. And we've got some great Resolve for this year in this wonderful photography group. So what ARE we doing this year? We're saving money. We're living healthy. We're stepping out the box and getting into more pictures. We're looking on the bright side. We're seeking a more spiritual day. And we're focused more on the art of photography. It's going to be one awesome year surrounded by amazing new friends.
Our top ten is in no particular order. If you enjoy the artist, click the link(s) below it to see more of their work. Send them some love - do it, it feels good! Get ready. Here we go...

Week 3's theme is "Mini" - I went with a wonderful shot of my Mini-Me, Madison. She looks just like 5 year old Daphne but with more hair. A lot more hair. My Mom kept my hair shorter. Frighteningly Shorter. Imagine puffy short tight curls. { I may have had a middle school afro - not my finest moments.}
Shot in studio with with 2 soft box lights and edited completely with Photoshop CS6 - no plug ins - shocker.
As much as I love this serious shot...I did manage to get this smile too...
What's new with Daphne Ellenburg?
Found spray on glitter in a can. Even better...you have to be at least 18 to buy this product - proving yet again that glitter is indeed for adults :-)
Had a few of these this week... {Yellowhammers. Mmmmm.} What's in my Yellowhammer? Vodka, Amaretto, OJ and Pineapple.
I cheered for the TIDE. I'm a big fan... Ok, We are big fans. {And thanks to the win, I am keeping Christmas alive for 2 more weeks.} Hooray for me!
Saw this on the my drive downtown...well, sort of. Roll Tide!
Wishing you a great week filled with family, photography and Mini-Fun! Make it a GREAT week!

Angelia Sims - Your mini-me's eyes are gorgeous! Wonderful job with the lighting on those photographs of Madison. I think I will have to find some spray glitter. A can of bright fun! Oh the joys of being an adult. ;-)
Thanks again for the feature. Incredibly talented group.
