With More Time.

Having more time is a fickle subject.  It's the carrot on the string of life. I constantly feel like I'm on one of those timed obstacle course reality TV programs. I'm climbing the walls.  I'm swinging through rings. People are cheering my name. And I'm moving as fast as I can trying not to fall down or get wet. Why? Because I want to be the fastest to cheat my way into having more time to do something else. Like Snap Chat.

This week we challenged our photographers to think about what they'd do if they had just a little more time in each day. How would they spend it? Would you be selfish with your time, spend it learning something new, spending it with someone you love? What a great week of fun it was to see your photographs. I made a list of things I'd like to do this week if I could squeeze in a little bit more time for myself. And....I did two out ten, and not one of them was painting my nails. Sigh. Maybe next week.

Our top ten is always in no particular order. When you enjoy the photograph, check out the artist. Chances are you will enjoy more of their work. Send them some love and pats on the back. We all could use one.

Here we go...

ONE {I love the lines. It really feels like I'm riding that bike. You captured the movement fantastically. Great POV. }

TWO {Gorgeously done. I love that you gave us a tip this week on your double exposure. Sometimes its the only way to make the camera see what we see. Great work!}

THREE {I thought about you this week. When I was moving, I found my Learn Italian collection of CD's. Still in their protective plastic. Sigh. Love the set up. Love the shadows. Love the the paper heart.}

Week 29's theme is "Soft"

This week I decided NOT to photograph my soft abs, but this soft bear.  This is Mr. Bear. He's been with me since almost forever. Crazy right? He is the the American bear from The Limited's 1995 American collection. Oooh, Vintage. {Sort of.} The Limited was my very first real job EVER. I did everything. I was the door barker, a sweater master and an ultimate jean folder. This bear is amazing for my photography. He is soft, and he has weighted legs so he can pose with babies perfectly. Everyone of my children have tried to claim him without success. Mr. Bear belongs to Mom. I brought him over to the Studio this week.

What's new with Daphne Ellenburg?

I spent most of the week at my NEW studio or going back and forth bringing things from my attic to the new studio. I might just like saying MY NEW STUDIO a little too much. I hope it never wears off. I put some seating in.

Week 29

I had some fantastic movers help me with my desk.

Week 29

I set up my new office. {Mostly}

Week 29

I snapped a shot of me on moving day ~ the one day it didn't rain. And then it rained.

Week 29

I approved the final stage of my new sign. It's going to be Gynormous!

Week 29

And Michael is going to be building me a few things this weekend.

Week 29

Things are really coming together. Everyday I feel like it's the right decision. It really feels like bouncing on clouds and sliding down a rainbow made of glitter. It feels that good.

Wishing you a GREAT week of family, fun and photography!
