Now, That's Funny.

The best part about word comedy is that it's completely it's own language. COMEDY is different for everyone. For example: I think that when people mispronounce something - it's hilarious. Call it a genetic flaw. One time, when I when I was working for the Devil at Bed Bath and Beyond, a customer was passionately looking for the Yankee Candle "Autumn Wrath" - All I could think was, AWESOME! But what I said was, "GREAT! Let's go look for it." I may of asked her to say it a couple of times but that's part of the genetic flaw. Other things that are funny are the classics like I love Lucy or The Three Stooges, people falling down, animals stealing people's lunch, and listening to small children tell me about the things they did over the summer. Speaking of comedy...a funny thing happened at the studio Friday. I was photographing my children for Week 28. They were posed to perfection. I leaned in on the pose to fix Grant's collar and that's when Baby Jefferson reached up, grabbed my lens and tried to put in in his mouth. Before I could pull it free from his tiny baby hands, he licked it. Ewwwwwwe. This brought quite a smile from the group that I wish I'd of shot!
I enjoyed a peek into your lives for comedy week. My family is a constant source of entertainment and comedy. I'm glad I'm not alone.

Week 28 is "With More Time..." What would you do?
I have a list as long as my arm as I wait for Obama to use congress to add more hours to our days or more dollars to MY wallet... Which ever comes first. What tops my list this week? With more time, I'd photograph my children regularly in my studio instead of through the highlight real of snapshots that are constantly flowing through my Instagram {I'm daphne_ellenburg}. So be selfish - what would you do with some extra time to yourself?
What's NEW with Daphne Ellenburg?
Well, it's been another full week. I love holiday weeks, they seem longer because we try to pack too many things into them.
I designed the building sign for my new studio. You are looking at $1500. I swallowed pretty hard on that one.
Jackson may have had a summer growth spurt making him one half of a centimeter taller than me. {Sad Face.} His phrase of the week is: "Mom, let me catch that for you." It's getting old real fast.
I designed and ordered three NEW and different business cards. I love them all. Here's one of them:
And the back...
My husband bought too many fireworks. I photographed them between rain shower intermissions.
The studio is coming together inside. Everything is here - except for my office. Let the decorating begin ;-)
Sonic is almost diagonal from my new studio, so sometimes I lure my family to help me move with a Sonic Shake. So...On a dare, I tried it, and I will admit, that the Peanut Butter Bacon shake is pretty good.
Wishing you a great week filled with family, fun, photography and a little more time for YOU next week! Make it a GREAT week!
