We recently brought home our new very expensive alarm clock, Jefferson. As Michael and I start our new baby adventure, I've realized that there are so many things I forgot. It's easy to forget how small they are when they come home. I forgot how many diapers I changed each day and how fast I had to change those diapers not get wet too. {He's so fast!} I forgot how much I missed sleep between the hours of 2am and 6am. I also forgot how nice they smell, how good they feel to finally hold and how they are the best show in town. I'd rather watch him sleep or coo than do anything else. 

My biggest challenge is the C-section recovery. It limits my ability to photograph him as long as I'd like. I'm moving a little slower and my fingers are still a little numb. I've limited my shoots to 30 minutes a day. After a couple of days of shoots, I was editing them in my studio with Michael. I had all my shots in Lightroom 4 picking my favorites and Michael was quiet. I'm looking for the perfect shot for his birth announcement or the two 20x24 canvas wall hangings I pre-purchased months ago. He didn't pick any until this one.

I said, "No, not that one!" and Michael said, "Daphne, you're not going to find better Baby Air Guitar than this, ever." And maybe he's right. Baby Air Guitar makes me smile.
