Week 38, Our Comic Favorites
Friday, September 21, 2012 | By: Daphne Ellenburg
Comic Relief is a real treat mixed in with the stress and sameness of every day life. The real joy is slowing down long enough to see it because it's all around us. Just yesterday alone, I watched my daughter try to spell things with her peas and overheard my middle boy complaining that the government took away all his dreams of going the moon. {He's only Nine} Who knew Grant even had Astronaut dreams? And I've become pretty darn obsessed with those baby outfits with the built in mittens. This week Jefferson has learned how to bust out of those...one finger at a time. Which finger comes out first? Yep, the middle finger. So embarrassing and hilarious all at the same time. I'm so glad our group of photographers were able to slow down and find so many great entertaining moments for us this week.
Our top ten is in no particular order. When you enjoy the photograph, links to the artist are directly below it. Check out their work. Send them some love. Everyone could use a little pat on the back...so pat away! And remember it's never too late to join our fun Flickr Group.

Week 39's theme is "Welcome Autumn"
On the first day of fall every year for the past 5 years, I take a walk with my baby girl and we look for the first signs of fall. We don't usually find much as things usually stay pretty green in South Alabama, but that never stopped us from looking. This year I'm on new baby post c-section lock down and can't do much...so I brought a little bit of Autumn inside for us to enjoy.
What's new with Daphne Ellenburg?
Very little has really changed for me since last week. I still can't drive or leave the house really. I stay in my pajamas until 11am nearly every day and have still managed not to view one soap opera. I spend most of my day entertaining Madison's plastic food kitchen creations and granting every wish of tiny new baby Jefferson. Mother of four is really hard work, but happy work.
Baby Jefferson is still the best show in town. I could spend the entire day just watching him sleep or coo. I managed to take a few more shots of him this week. Here are a couple of favorites... I really think I'm going to canvas this first one into a 20x24. I love his perfectly rosey baby cheeks.
I love this new baby scale!

It's hard to believe he is two weeks old today.
My oldest boy Jackson has decided to play JV football. He's on week 2 of practice and he's still all in. I'm excited for him. As soon as I can drive again...I'll get a photo to share :-)
As for photography finds this week.... Kevin Kabota is on Creative Live this weekend. Remember, It's free to watch live. I have been enjoying some great new software for one click skin by Imagenomic called Portraiture - check it out. And yesterday, I sent off for my first album by Graphistudio. Graphistudio's albums are crafted by hand with Italian Leather and the customer service is unmatched. Do you know 3 different gals called to check on me and the baby? How awesome is that? Check these guys out!
Wishing you a great week filled with Family, Fun, and Photography! Make it a great Fall Filled Week!
