Favorite Things.

Favorite things have such a wide variety that I knew this week was going to be exciting. I was considering photographing my always favorite Nail Polish and even painted my nails this week. {Shocker right?} But somewhere middle of the week, my dream ballerina Dog shoot started coming together. I'm a firm believer that if you talk about it, it becomes real. So I started talking about it with my clients and my friend got on board and then Madison got on board. Not too bad. I would get to try it twice in a week. Hooray. Here is Haleigh and Zuzu:

Both sessions were delightful and it helped fuel up my creativity. A win for us all.

This week we got to know you a little better by seeing your favorite things and getting to see your favorite work of the week. Every week in the studio, I always have a favorite shot of the week. It's fun to push yourself and really focus on getting as much correct in camera before you hit it with your Mad Photoshop skills. You have some amazing work. Add Award-Winning to one of your many adjectives. Deadline is June 19th. I'm doing it. I'm sifting thru and sorting out. It's scary, but it's a great way to grow in this craft. Think about it.

What's new with Daphne Ellenburg?

I really had a pretty good week. I had 4 sessions and saw 5 clients. And I painted my nails, got accepted into the Baby Expo (we'll have a 10x10 booth!) and I baked cupcakes.

Finally finished my Mother Daughter Sisterhood album from my March Holiday. I just wanted it to be perfect. I'm gifting a book to all my gal pals and their daughters. BTW - this is the NEW Fundy software. Check them out. I love them.

Created my dreamy art shoot for the cost of the ribbon I velcro'd to these slippers. $2.00

Not too bad. And seriously this dog smiles when I photograph it. Princess Fiona is a pound puppy rescue dog that Madison picked out a couple of years ago. She's a really good dog.

Grant's Airsoft birthday party Saturday was a hit.  30 Cookies, 3 pizzas, 24 Sodas, 12 bottles of water and nearly 5000 tiny plastic bullets later they are still talking about it. Even my invitation typo of Snakes for Snacks didn't stop them from coming. Eleven was never more fun and I think I got my "manly" photo out of them.

And for all of you Dad's I hope that someone is spoiling you on Sunday and making sure that you know that you are the center of the universe. And if your Dad is in heaven, like mine, I'll be praying for you as I know you are for me.  Happy Father's day week Dads - take it by storm!
