Focusing on Focus.
Saturday, March 23, 2013 | By: Daphne Ellenburg
Focus. Who needs it. Well, sometimes we do - so we wear our new bifocals, or drink our focus juice. But the best focus, is when we focus around ourselves. We can use that lens to focus on the Moments that matter, like losing that first tooth, our babies, our grand babies. We freeze time with our focus. The good and the bad and the lame which later turn out to be some of the most funny moments of our lives. I really enjoyed peeking into your lives this week.
Our top ten is as always in no particular order. When you love the shot (and you will) Shout about it. Send them some love. A little love, goes a long way. Focus on the love. Here we go...
ONE {Love the black and white lines. Glasses are perfect for this week!}
Getting Older (Week 12/52) By WJB1961

Week 12 Focus By Catino Creations
Honorable Mention {The focus on not focusing ~ the anti-focus if you will is a great reminder that it's healthy to unfocus too both behind the lens and in life!}
Week 12 - Focus By planetrudy
Week 13 - LIGHT ~ whether you're light on your feet or the light of the world. I can't wait to see what you come up with this week.
My shot this week is Zoe. About a month ago we sent up a lot of prayers for her and her family. She had pretty serious surgery at the Children's Hospital - but you couldn't tell by looking this happy face. She is doing great. She is so hyper and loving. She is such a Momma's girl, always stopping to give Mom hugs and kisses. And she's quite a poser when she visits. Eager to try all my new toys.

What's new with Daphne Ellenburg?
Today starts the busiest 3 weeks for me, EVER. I'm photographing 70 beautiful ballerinas today. That's right Degas, eat your heart out. I'm really looking forward to it. Next week it's more of the same and the next is bridal bliss. Ahhhh. It's nice to be busy. And exhausted with insomnia.
So...Saturday I fell in love with this fruit baby. But then someone ate it. {sad face}
Enjoyed my first Magic Hat. It was quite magical. And it made me say things like, "The Magic Hat is where it's At." So embarrassing.
Baby Jefferson's checkup went great. He's almost 19 pounds and nearly 29 inches. He's such a great growing baby. He's starting #2 foods and #3 diapers.
It was a tough week on the diamond for my Middle boy, Grant. He didn't want to smile for me.
My oldest baby, Jackson brought me home almost straight A's in all those advanced classes I happily signed him up for at his new school. {He is horrified that I am posting this photo.} It's MY blog.
I bought a new bracelet. I want to sparkle too.
Wishing you a fantastic week filled with family, fun, and photography. Make it a great week!

Karen Lee Punnett - Good Morning, Daphne
On my early morning walk it dawned on me that week 13 is 1/4 of the way through the year. It certainly is going quickly. I wanted to tell how much I am enjoying the Project/52 group. It has been very inspiring. My goal when I started the group was to achieve one of the ten featured photographers. You have chosen me three times. I am thrilled each time. Everyone needs validation and this group has given some to me.
Every Saturday morning I am curious to find out the new theme. The theme each week inspires me to THINK, SEE, CREATE and EXECUTE!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks again for hosting this group. Have a wonderful week.
Karen

Tony McCann (No9) - Hi Daphne, I am enjoying being part of the EP Project 52 group, I am a little addicted. I cann't wait to see the theme for each week and then comes the hard or easy part, the ideas. Some weeks it is a real struggle and nothing comes to mind, other weeks you have lots of ideas.
You have a very supportive, creative and gifted group of people. I am a member of a handful of groups, this by far my favourite.
You'll have to forgive my UK spellings.
Thanks for running such an excellent group.
Tony..

Catherine Heeb - I want to echo Karen's comment. The 52 group is so positive and supportive. Seeing the really great pictures that others have posted has inspired me. It makes me want to stretch my comfort zone. Thank you for setting that tone.
Can't wait to see some ballerina pictures!
