I enjoyed all the great glass shots this week. Lots of great shapes, colors and ideas. And there were not as many reflections as I thought they'd be!
Our top ten is always in no particular order. When you enjoy the shot, check out the artist. Chances are you will enjoy more of their style!

Week 47 - Blessings
This week, I had a plan. I was going to photograph my baby girl, my shopping pal and nail painting buddy wearing a red dress in front of my white feather covered Christmas tree. I was going to do it Friday Afternoon. I decorated the tree. I bought the dress. But then, I got a call that Jefferson had fallen down the stairs. All I could think about was that my precious baby was hurt and that those wooden stairs are so hard. And I prayed and cried the whole way home. When I got home, he said my name. I was so happy. He was so bumpy. We spent a chunk of our afternoon in the emergency room. Me, Jefferson, Michael and Grant. It's a blessing to heal, a blessing to love and a blessing to get another chance to find an even better baby gate.
What's new with Daphne Ellenburg?
I put a beautiful girl on the cover of her own magazine.
I got sick. Took 2 days off. Almost. Can a mother of four really take a day off much less two? Not so much.
I'm not 100% yet, but I'm a solid 85. And I finally finished decorating that tiny tree at the studio.
Grant said happy pizza makes a happy belly. I think he just wants me to keep ordering pizza on game day. But I like his style.
We finished off the week, together in the cave watching the tide roll. There was tomfoolery during commercials. There was a dance for every touchdown. There were high fives and high tens. It was nice just to be together, in the dark cheering for our favorite team. I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday night.
Wishing you a wonderful week filled with family, fun and photography. Make it a great week!

Kelly - Reading the blog later in the week is actually a treat. It's like the eating the edge of the cake where the frosting meets the side LAST. Nobody does that!! There were some really great submissions this week. I'm glad to see that your baby survived his bowling ball experience down the stairs with hardly a scratch, and that his Mommy survived without a defibrillator! Can't wait to see the studio all ready for Christmas portraits. Oh and ROLL TIDE!

Karen Punnett - Daphne My heart sunk when I was reading your blog. You must have been crazy with worry. I know when my daughter fell down the stairs when she was a year old I was basket case. I couldn't bring myself to tell my mom until she was eighteen years old. I am so happy that Jefferson is okay. A blessing indeed! give him a hug. Karen

Anita Cline - So sorry to hear that you have been under the weather and of Jefferson's fall. That's so scary & I'm glad to hear he's doing well. Hope you get to 100% real soon! xo
