Looking Down
Saturday, September 07, 2013 | By: Daphne Ellenburg
I've been looking down all week. Mostly at my new beautiful shoes but also at all the great things you've been looking down at. There have been so many great takes on this week's theme. People looking down at people looking up. Gorgeous landscape views, all of them. Beautiful children. Funny shots and some that were down right hilarious. This group holds a real special place for me. No matter how busy I am, or how many things I'm trying to squeeze into my day - I love seeing what you were up to this week. Thanks for taking time out of your busy week to keep up with our weekly challenge. You make this group a great place to be. Thank you.
Our top ten is always in no particular order. When you enjoy the shot, check out the artist. Chances are you'll like more of their work. Here we go...

Week 37's theme is: "Something New"
This week last year, I brought home something new. Sweet baby Jefferson. I've spent all week torn between being happy that he's such a healthy smiley growing boy and sad because he's just keeps growing and he's our last baby and I know I he won't be little for much longer. That makes me a little sad. Alright, a lot sad. I just want to hold him forever, like a little baby. Today is his birthday.
This week, someone else brought home Something New. Then she brought her over to my studio for me to hold and love on her and I took her portrait too. This is baby Raelyn. She was 6 days new on Tuesday.
What's New with Daphne?
I made it to another anniversary with my handsome husband. It makes him so mad when I say that. But I say it every year. Maybe just to get a rise out of him, but I'm sure I'll say it again next year. We didn't leave town like we usually do. We stayed around town and had a nice quiet anniversary. We celebrated all 4 days with dinner and an outing every evening.
This is my favorite place. It's in Daphne, Alabama and is owned by a guy named Mike - that means there is a Daphne roll and a Mike roll. And that's how we roll :-)
This was a plus.
We almost bought this. It's starting to grow on me.
I did buy this. Well, ok, I bought two of them. I really love a red sofa.
I fell in love with Leonetto Cappiello. He has so many wonderful things that I want to put all over my house.
And this work of art is Mike and Grant's new batting cage. It's bigger than they described it to me. That was probably on purpose.
Sometimes when you play hide and seek with a baby, he will be hiding in your shower. Happily playing with your shampoo. Happy Birthday baby Jefferson.
We will be celebrating all weekend. Wishing you a fantastic week filled with family, fun and photography! Make it a GREAT week!

Kelly - Nothing better than chilling to the Ellenburg Photography Blog and the entertaining humor that Daphne brings to my days. I always love seeing the photos of her peers but there was nothing sweeter than newborn shots of a 6 day old baby, except maybe seeing Jefferson play hide and seek. I love the blog, I hope I never miss another one.

Deborah - WHEW! Glad that this week is behind me! I'm not LOOKING DOWN or BACK on this week!
Maybe it took 3 kids and then on the 7th G.child, I finally got smart and thought,"Gram, you better cherish every moment with this little guy." THEY all grow up too fast! I bake turkeys bigger than 7 lbs!
Happy Birthday to Jefferson!
Go enjoy the day with your baby boy and your family!!!
As always, YOUR blog was MY treat, to me!
Thanks!!! :)
